Happy Friday, Friends!
I hope and trust this post finds you all having a great day as a glorious new day begins to dawn in my Sweet Home Alabama! A glorious day and weekend are before us! Let’s create a masterpiece!
Last Sunday, we had a guest speaker, a wonderful woman from one of the ministries our church supports. She told the story about the plan she had for what she thought she could accomplish in fundraising. She met with our Pastor, explained her plan, and he said, “Why are you putting a cap on it?”
Let me ask a question, Friends: what are we putting a cap on? If we can accomplish things in our own knowledge, strength, and abilities, we do not need faith. If we know we can do something or know the outcome, we don’t need faith. So, what are we putting a cap on?
What would our lives look like, how differently would we live, if we didn’t put a cap on things, or only attempt things that we thought we could do in our own knowledge, strength, and abilities? What if we truly followed the convictions of our spirit, and pure-heartedly gave our best to each moment? What if we let God be God, and we gave miracles the opportunity to happen? I pray each one of us will have the courage to find out!
